Job title:
Senior Partner in a forensic accounting and litigation services firm

Educational background:
B.A. in Physics
M.S. and Ph.D. in Applied Math

What do you do?
I perform forensic accounting, damage analysis, fraud investigation and valuation of businesses and real estate.

How has your physics background helped you in your career?
My physics background is good because my job is analytical.

How have you balanced family and career commitments?
The key to balancing career and family responsibilities is having a good housekeeper. I tried to come home by 7 p.m. when the children were younger and did the rest of my work after they went to bed.

Do you have any advice for college students who are interested in pursuing careers in physics?
My daughter is currently studying for a Ph.D. in physics. Today, there is much more flexibility and opportunity with a degree in physics. People use the degree in industry and in related fields.
